My Job Rocks.....Literally!!

What I like most about my job is the energy. I work for Hard Rock Cafe, so you know,, there is no way you can possibly go to sleep. I like the employees that work there, even the obnoxious ones! You meet people from every part of the globe. I mean EVERYWHERE! Probably the only place that someone has not visited from is Antarctica. The music is always blasting, and though you hear the same thing in New York as you would in Munich or Bangkok, it's still great. I have heard music from bands and artists that I have never heard of, and some whom I've never listened to. But that has only broadened my music interest. The memorabilia at our location is one of the best. We are one of the "vintage" Hard Rock's, so many people love to reminisce.

I'd have 'Wanna Be Startin' Something' playing in my cafe

Wanna Be Startin' Something
Just from the title of the song, you know you are going to be in for a treat. Plus, it would be cool to see people dance in their seats.

Off The Wall
The song is great to listen to because as Michael says, "Gotta leave that nine- to- five up on the shelf, and just enjoy yourself." That's what I want people to do. Enjoy themselves.

Bad
Bad is not necessarily a negative thing. Then they are tasting the food, I want them to to say, 'Man, this food is BAD!!' Meaning GREAT!!!

Dangerous
The desserts will be dangerous!!

My children make me smile

My children are my gems. They remind me everyday of , one, happiness, two, youthful thoughts, and three, because I help them with their homework, how much I've forgotten. So they keep me thinking, and my brain alert.

When I see this picture, I see hope and happiness.

Impressed, I'd say Surprised.

It's not that I wasn't impressed by The Mall, I was just surprised by the landscaping. I had to remind myself of the significance of the Mall, because at one time, slaves were sold on the Mall.

Seeing it in person, I thought about all of the people who walked along it during the Vietnam protests, the March on Washington, the Million Man March, and the inauguration of all of the Presidents, in particular, President Barack Obama.

I am reminded of the outrage people had when the suggestion of having taxpayers money go to re-sod the Mall.

Given the history surrounding it, maybe it's best it stays the way it is. But with a message to give our children of just how important this plot of land is, and the history that makes it so important.

I wish I'd learned that sooner to just be me.

I wish when I was younger, like in my twenties, to just be myself. To not worry about what other people thought about me. I wasted too much time trying to fit in, that I lost myself. I found, in time, I was good enough already, and if anyone didn't like me, I don't give a @#$%!! God is really the one I am concerned with in regards to how I am, and how I act. If I down with him, everything and everyone else, comes in a distant second.

Well let me take some of that back. I do care about how my children perceive me. They are God's indicators on Earth. They have a direct line to him. So, if you don't treat them right, HE knows!

TIGER WOODS HAD AFFAIRS!! springsteen had affairs too!

Okay, tell me I'm wrong. But does the media have some bias? Bruce Springsteen is "The Boss." But does that mean no one talks about his infidelities? Did he not cause the break up of a marriage? But that just got a blip, and no one is telling him to come before the world and apologize, and explain WHY did he cheat on a wife AGAIN!
Why does Tiger Woods have to? Oh, wait, let me put my race cards away. See, no one wants to say it, but it is clear as day.
Infidelity is wrong, plain and simple. But don't go out of your race. We in America still have a problem with that. It's just not said in your face. But actions speak louder than words. The actions of the media towards Tiger's behaviour speaks volumes, but now that the money will be coming back in, their will always be the reminder of what he did, after the praises of his golf game. " He's the greatest player of the game ever, aw, but he cheated on his wife dozens of times."
Springsteen...HELLO?! Give him a Presidential honor.
I think I've said enough.
