The Top Three Funniest People in the World

Richard Pryor

Well, if you say, "Living or dead," it would have to be 1. Richard Pryor, 2. Bill Cosby, and 3. Sinbad. Richard Pryor's comedy is the litmus test for ALL comedians. He was just the best. But to be honest, for me, a tie, in third place, would be George Carlin. Carlin told it how it is.

A Photo That Puts a Smile on my Face

Baby Laugh 01

Children, but especially babies, laughing. When a baby or child laughs, everything in the world is okay. It just makes you feel good.

Three Countries I'd Like to Visit -Egypt, Japan and Iran

Egypt: AbuSimbel

I'd love to visit Egypt, Japan, and Iran. Egypt, because of the historical sites, and I've always wanted to go there. Japan because it has always fascinated me, and all of the vibrant colors there. Iran because that is where my husband is from, and because of the religion, architecture, and history there.

My Idea of a Perfect Sunday

Day 076/365

The perfect Sunday is what is happening right now. My children is at their Grandmother's house for a couple of days. My husband is at work, and I have the whole day to myself. I don't have to fight for the remote. I can read without being interrupted. I can do chores at my own pace. Just a lovely, lazy morning. The only thing that would make it even better is if I didn't have to go to work, and my husband stayed over at hare mother's house over night. Ahh, dreams!

My Favorite Sound - My children laughing

Seminole children playing stick ball: Big Cypress Reservation, Florida

My children's laughter. NOTHING is more beautiful sounding. Nothing is more sincere. Their laughter gives me hope and total joy. These are not my children, but, you see what I mean. Happy, laughing, enjoying life.

I Can't Help It: My Celeb Crush Is Lenny Kravitz

My all-time celebrity crush is Michael Jackson. But since he is no longer with us, I'd say it's Lenny Kravitz. OMG!!! That man is sooooo fine!!! He has the best voice. I just want him to call me in the morning and say, "Veada. It's time to wake up." AAAAHHHHH!!! I'd prefer for him to to be next to me and say it, but I think my husband might have an issue with that.

Cheer-Me-Up Music From Michael Jackson

Whenever I am feeling low, songs from Michael Jackson always makes me feel better. I'll start listening to his music from when he was a child, all the way to adulthood, and be amazed. To hear someone emote feelings and emotions that can inspire you, uplift you, make you want to dance, that is a gift. He truly loved to sing, and you can hear that love.

My Favorite Childhood Movie "A Christmas Story

Love, love, love this movie! It is not necessarily a "childhood" movie, but I got turned on to it I think after high school. It is just as funny today as when I first saw it. Now, I watch it with my children, ages 11 and seven, and they crack up each time viewing it.

Technology I Can't Live Without- A Computer and the Internet

free internet

This thing I'm on right now. The computer has been both the source of joy in my life, and also the bane of my existence. I've only had a computer for almost five years, but what the hell was life like before? Pretty damn boring, I guess. No, that's not true. But it's like I've got to get a fix once an hour.

But I must say, since I don't travel, the Internet was opened the world to me in ways I could never image. I've met a lot of fascinating people, seen unbelievable places, and listened to music that I never would have heard before having a computer. I also would never have found Plinky, which helps me with my writing. With that, I have found, I'm kinda interesting.

The Lesser of Two Evils - Bad Breath or Body Odor

God! That's tough. One can step back from someone who has bad breath. Or, play it off by offering some mints or gum, blaming your own bad breath to something you ate. But, I've bumped into some people who's B-O was so strong, it lingered after they left! So, I guess it would have to be body odor. You can close your mouth, and write down what ever you have to say, but B-O is in a class of its own! You just can't correct it immediately.

In Those Final, Pre-Meteor Hours, I'd Spend Them Listening To Michael Jackson and The Holy Qur'an.

I'd watch every video I have on Michael Jackson. Take a 15 minute nap. Then listen to all of Michael Jackson's songs. While doing that, look at all of the magazines and books I have dealing with Michael. Then, read the 22nd Surah of The Holy Qur'an . Then sleep.

Halloween - No Thanks!

Halloween

No. To me it is a waste of money, and I don't want to be anything else but myself. I understand the meaning of Halloween, which all the more reason, is why I don't observe it.

One Body Part I'd Change -My Stomach

My stomach area. One thing I swore is in my lifetime, I would never have a butt stomach. You know the kind. It looks like a butt, but it's in the front. Well, I am on my way. I think I am a prime candidate for liposuction, but I'll never do that. I wouldn't mind having the abdomen I had as a young woman. Had I known then what I know now, I wouldn't hate my body as much. I actually had the body that everyone desires now. So now, rather than having the "boom, boom" body of my past, I have the "blah, blah" body of a middle-aged, out of shape woman.

Now since March, I have lost about 16 pounds, but my problem is exercise. I know I need to do it, but...I know, no excuse. Do you see the braces on my feet in the picture? One would think, that is enough to get me to workout. But now that I really see myself, with my children, I've got to make a change. Not for my children, nor my husband, but for myself. I love who I am, as a person, but you wouldn't know it looking at me.

Me, Neighborly? It Depends.

Neighbors

Yes, and no. If you are loud, obnoxious, and a felon, you may not want to live next to me. I've had a couple of them. One had the F.B.I. and Metro-Dade police, raid their apartment, and arrested them. But not off of anything I knew of.

But, if I see someone that I deem as unfamiliar scoping your place, or I hear activity that does not sound right, like, I don't know, screaming, or "I'm gonna kill you," I've got your back. I always say hello when I see you. All I ask is that you be respectful of the noise and music. If you smoke pot, hey, I used to, but, I don't want to know you do, so smoke inside.

I have young children, so ultimately, my main concern is their safety. If I find you are infringing in their well being, we're going to have a problem. If you wake me up in the middle of the night, there is REALLY going to be a problem.

My One Day as a Celebrity - Bill Gates

Bill Gates at CES 2007

Bill Gates. The first thing I would do is actually look at my bank account for liquid assets. Then, I would buy property in one major city in each state. Then, make arrangements to build an apartment buildings with adjacent offices in each city, fully decorated and equipped with every necessary appliance and machines. Then I would send my minions to find 100 homeless people, and tell them they could live at the apartments, but they have two years two to acquire a job, but in the meantime, we would give them job, social, and life skills. Oh, and all of this, would be free. But once the two years is over, they must go out on their own, and make a life for themselves, so that someone else could come in and have a chance like they did. WHEW!!!

The Most Wasteful Thing I Do Each Day - Logging On The Computer

Computer Screen

THE most wasteful thing I do EVERYDAY is being on this dang computer!! The internet is like crack man! Just when you are about to log off, someone posts something you deem as brilliant, or unbelievably stupid, and you have to comment.I don't know how many pots of rice I have burned, or loads of whites in the laundry lacking bleach. Someday, I will find my house underneath all of the clutter that has accumulated from my lack of attention.

Do you want to know how bad I have it? I have three browsers, so I can multi-task, and stay connected. Pitiful. Excuse me. I have to go Tweet.

My Playlist for the One I Love

"Color My World" by Chicago

Short, and to the point. It speaks volumes with few words.

My First, My Last, My Everything by Barry White

Hey, Barry put it straight, and says it all.

Lady in My Life by Michael Jackson

I would have to change the title and word in the song to "Man, " but it is the most beautiful love song.

Brains or Beauty?

I would rather be super intelligent than extremely good looking. With time, looks can fade, gravity works on the face and body, and then becomes expensive to upkeep. Not sexy. Intelligence is sexy when used right, and can never grow old. Plus, you end up with a great library of knowledge. Intelligence can be shared and appreciated. Good looks is superficial, and is ultimately only good for you, and not anyone else.

Who I Wish I Could Ask for Advice

It is a tie. Either Jesus or Prophet Ali. They both had the best of virtues, and had otherworldly knowledge. I have a book , anout 200 years old, that has the teachings of Prophet Ali, and I must say he was very profound. Jesus, well, he was revolutionary and wise beyond belief.

Heart Versus Head

That is such an interesting question. I have been saying a lot lately that I need to follow my intuitions more. But is that you heart or your mind speaking?

I think intuition I think is a mental, rather than an emotional response. It is analytical and off of common sense. Your heart felt feelings are emotional, and what you want. Rather than what should be.

I tend to get screwed when I do what is easiest, and that is proven true every single time. That's my heart talking.

I am trying to follow my head more these days. It tends to be the right decision more than less.

A Children's Book Every Child Should Read - Winnie the Pooh

Winnie the Pooh books have always been a source of enjoyment for me since I was a child. Every story from the series teaches children about manners, morals, friendship, and adventure. It is not something that you have to view before your child reads it, unlike a lot of books and cartoons that are around today. Curious George is another series of books I recommend, and the television show, I and my children watch daily.

I'm Taking My Michael Jackson OPUS With Me

My official Michael Jackson Opus arrived!! It's AWESOME! So huge and heavy too.

Crazy as it sounds, my "Michael Jackson OPUS." At almost 29 pounds, the most beautiful pictures and comments about Michael, it's the closest thing to me spending eternity with him.

My Earliest Memory

Palm trees galore!!

My earliest memory was when I was about three. It had to be about that age, because it was before we moved to Miami. Plus, the image was in black and white. I remember being in someone's apartment. Their living room. I see a couch, and a window to the right wall of where the couch is. Possibly a coffee table.

But the thing I remember clearly, was the song "Alfie," by Dionne Warwick was playing. So it had to have been in 1967, because that's when that version of the song came out. But if 1967 is when that song was released, that couldn't have been my first memory.

I have a slight memory of the neighborhood I lived in, in California. We moved to Miami in1966.

Now, I remember walking in to the house that I grew up in when we first arrived. There were three TALL palm trees in the front yard. And I remember the front bathroom. Apparently, someone didn't flush the toilet. After several uses! WELL!! Needless to say, I was not impressed at all with my new digs, and wanted to go back to California, IMMEDIATELY!!! It was much smaller than our old house. And I remember thinking, perhaps with the same words, "Oh no! This will NOT do!!"
